The Dating Diaries, a Peculiar Chix series
Now that we are fully engrossed in and committed to the 4th and final quarter of 2017……and the weather is shifting to cooler temps (aka cuffing season in the dating arena), work and personal invites to holiday affairs are soon to arrive, holiday family gatherings are right around the corner, the calendar turn to 2018 is rapidly approaching and the infamous New Year Resolutions aren’t too far behind. With all of that in mind, I was thinking, what a great time to start a series on the wonderful (for some) or ominous (for others) topic of DATING!!
When it comes to this topic…
I may not have a Ph.D., but I have earned at least a bachelors and close to a masters degree! LOL! Having spent countless hours of time, effort & energy and accumulated some great experiences as well as disappointments and Lord knows plenty of SMH moments, I’ve learned a great deal during my dating journey.
Being a big YouTube fan and supporter, I was watching a video on the topic of dating over the weekend that got me so stirred up. After fussing for a bit, I figured, why not just kick-off a series on the topic that may be, perhaps, more inclusive in its perspective. And here we are. I’m so excited to share this journey with you for the next 6 weeks as we bring 2017 to a close (for my ol’ school church goers, “…the Lord willing and the creek don’t rise…and should the Lord tarry His return, we will see the close of this year, LOLOLOL!)
…I have found the dating experience to be invaluable and incredibly educational. Interestingly enough, no so much about the men I’ve met, but I learned a tremendous amount about myself. In some areas my thoughts on what I wanted and needed were spot on and in some instances those bad boys were a bit grandiose and unrealistic.
I’m so excited to share this journey with you – whether single & ready to mingle, single & weary, single & resting in side-eye-ville or perhaps married, but asking for a single friend…I got you! Enough of my intro, let’s get this series started…I’ll meet you over at the “Dear Kelli Michelle” section of the site. See you there!
Love ya girlie!
